BNSF to Enforce Parking Compliance Initiative at Chicago (Corwith) Intermodal Facility Effective September 9, 2024

Date
Aug 26, 2024

To improve traffic flows at our Chicago (Corwith) Intermodal Facility, BNSF is introducing new compliance measures for drivers. Hub personnel are required to identify trucking partners who do not park in their designated parking spot.

Specific instructions to support compliance may be accessed in the following ways:

  • RailPASS users can look up their designated parking location in RailPASS
  • Non-RailPASS users in a standard ingate lane will find their designated parking location at the ingate kiosk
  • Non-RailPASS users in a RailPASS-only lane will find their designated parking location on a J1, which is available from a kiosk in the Driver Assistance Building (DAB)

Effective September 9, 2024, drivers who do not follow parking instructions will be restricted from entering the Chicago (Corwith) Intermodal Facility for a minimum of one week. The duration of the restriction will increase with recurring parking violations. Trucking companies will be notified via email of drivers who have parking violations.
